The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs: There are has several sites within its pages that are worth investigating. Try The Chicago Department of Tourisim which presents a series of links to musical activities within the Chicagoland area; or check out what is happening at the Chicago Cultural Center (of course, Orion Ensemble performs noontime concerts there---see our schedule).

The Illinois Arts Council: Visit this agency of the State of Illinois that provides financial and technical assistance to encourage the development of the arts throughout Illinois. Orion Ensemble is supported, in part, by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
The Classical Net: This web site features reviews of more than 1650 CD's, as well as 5500 files and over 3800 links to other classical music web sites. Read composers' biographies and look at scores, or go directly to their general organization links or the ensemble link.
CultureFinder.com: This is a wonderful resource for cultural opportunities throughout the United States. They offer a Chicago performance calendar that is worth checking out, as well as general music resources.
The Batavia Renaissance Project: Check out this grass-roots organization created to foster the cultural arts in Batavia, IL, home of Orion's western suburb series.
The Fox Valley Arts Council: Publisher of Arts Beat Magazine, the Arts Council is a not-for-profit organization taking a leadership role in support and encouragement of the arts in Fox Valley. Orion Ensemble is a member-organization of the Fox Valley Arts Council.
